New Pokémon Abound in Scarlet and Violet, Yet They’re Not Yet Integrated into VGC

Thanks to Pokémon HOME’s big update, a flood of new Pokémon are landing in Scarlet and Violet from older titles like Legends: Arceus, Sword, and Shield. We’re seeing fan-favorites like Rillaboom and Hisuian creatures like Ursaluna join the mix.

Shaking Up the Competitive Scene

Introducing these Pokémon to the Paldea region is a game-changer, especially for competitive players. However, hold your horses! The current competitive format, Regulation C, will stick around until the end of June. This means the newcomers aren’t ready for VGC battles just yet.

Still, Pokémon HOME might stir things up in the competitive scene. Some of the newly added Pokémon come with unique moves. For example, Hisuian Arcanine’s move, Raging Fury, can now be taught to the regular Arcanine, a current meta favorite.

New Items and Strategies

VGC players are buzzing about the Pixie Plate, a new item that boosts Fairy-type moves by 20%. It’s a big deal for Flutter Mane, a dominating force in recent formats.

What’s Next?

When Regulation C wraps up, we might see Hisuian Pokémon make their VGC debut. This will shake up the scene, putting regular Arcanine up against its Hisuian version and giving Ursaluna a chance to shine.

Landorus, a Ground/Flying-type Legendary, is also stepping into Paldea. Known for its strength in past VGC formats, Landorus is bound to cause a stir once it’s competition-ready.

Looking Forward

This update opens up new possibilities for players and fans. With fresh faces and moves entering the fray, the competitive landscape of Pokémon is all set for a thrilling shake-up. Stay tuned for how these changes unfold in the VGC scene!
