Pokémon Go’s Big July Update!
Pokémon Go is all set to spice up raids this July. It’s adding two fresh Mega Pokémon and making Elite Raid-exclusive battles more accessible for everyone. Mega Tyranitar comes into the spotlight as Pokémon Go marks its seventh anniversary.
Starting with a Go Battle Weekend on July 1, July’s schedule is packed with action. The Pokémon Go 7th Anniversary Party kicks off from July 6 to 12. We’ll share more details on this event soon.
July is also full of community events. We have Community Day Classic with Squirtle on July 9, a Riolu Hatch Day on July 22, and a regular Community Day on July 30. The Riolu Hatch Day will be closely watched, especially by fans who were not fans of the recent egg-themed event.
What’s More in July?
July offers an exciting “Catching Some Z’” event from July 15 to 16 and an Adventure Week from July 27 to August 2 with loads of bonuses.
Raids are the main highlight for July. Mega Sableye makes its first appearance in the Dark Flames event. After July 6, Mega Raids will feature Mega Blastoise, Mega Blaziken, and finally debut Mega Tyranitar on July 25.
In the five-star raid category, Heatran will be available until July 6. Then, Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres join in for the 7th Anniversary Party event from July 6 to 13. The end of July will see Regieleki and Regidrago in regular raids for the first time.
Expect Raid Day events on Wednesdays when each Pokémon appears in five-star raids.
