How to Obtain Volcanion and Diancie in Pokémon Sword and Shield’s The Crown Tundra Expansion
Pokémon Sword and Shield players can now access two highly sought-after mythical Pokémon, Volcanion and Diancie, in The Crown Tundra expansion. Here’s a guide on how to acquire these valuable creatures.
Getting Volcanion
1. Start by heading to Freezington Town in The Crown Tundra.
2. Enter the house on the left side of the Pokémon Center.
3. Inside the house, you will find a man who will share the story of a Pokémon he encountered in the past.
4. After listening to the tale, make your way to Ballimere Lake, located in the Giant’s Bed area.
5. Once at Ballimere Lake, make your way to the island in the middle of the lake. You can reach it by crossing the water using your bike or swimming Pokémon.
6. On the island, you will find a series of stones forming a circle. Walk towards the center of the circle, and a cutscene will trigger.
7. Volcanion will then appear, and you can engage in a battle with this powerful Fire and Water-type Pokémon.
8. Capture Volcanion using your preferred Poké Balls and add it to your team.
Obtaining Diancie
1. Travel to Wyndon, the city where the Pokémon League is held, in the Galar region.
2. In Wyndon, make your way to the hotel located on the left side of the city.
3. Enter the hotel and head to the second floor.
4. On the second floor, you will find a room with two men facing the wall. Speak to the man wearing black clothes.
5. The man will mention a Pokémon he’s searching for in Crown Tundra. Agree to help him in his quest.
6. After accepting the task, travel to the Crown Tundra area and find the following locations in order: Slippery Slope, Frostpoint Field, and Giant’s Bed.
7. Once you’ve located these areas, return to the hotel in Wyndon and speak to the man in black again.
8. The man will express his gratitude and reward you with Diancie.
