How to Obtain Regigigas in Pokémon Sword and Shield’s The Crown Tundra Expansion
Regigigas, the powerful Legendary Pokémon, is making its triumphant return in Pokémon Sword and Shield’s latest DLC expansion, The Crown Tundra. If you’re looking to add this colossal Pokémon to your team, here’s a comprehensive guide on how to obtain Regigigas in the game.
1. Unlocking Regigigas
Before you can even think about catching Regigigas, you must first unlock it in The Crown Tundra expansion. To do so, make sure you have completed the main game’s storyline and have access to the Crown Tundra. Afterward, head over to the Snowslide Slope area where you will encounter a character named Peony. Accept his Legendary Clue quests and embark on an adventure to locate the various Legendary Pokémon found throughout the Tundra.
2. Solving Legendary Clue 2
Once you have started the Legendary Clue quests, you will eventually come across Legendary Clue 2. To solve this puzzle, you need to head towards the giant tree located near the entrance of the Freezington village. Interact with the tree and place the items in the following order: Fossilized Bird, Fossilized Dino, Fossilized Drake, and Fossilized Fish. Doing so will trigger a special event where Regieleki and Regidrago will awaken.
3. Obtaining Regieleki and Regidrago
After awakening Regieleki and Regidrago, you need to catch them both to proceed. Head to the Split-Decision Ruins, which can be found toward the south of the Crown Tundra map. Inside, you will encounter two statues representing Regieleki and Regidrago’s respective types. Interact with the appropriate statue to encounter and catch the corresponding Pokémon.
4. Unlocking Legendary Clue 3
After capturing both Regieleki and Regidrago, return to Peony and complete the Legendary Clue 2 quest. This will unlock the final Legendary Clue 3. Follow the clue provided to navigate to the location where Regigigas awaits your challenge.
5. Capturing Regigigas
Head over to the Giant’s Bed area of the Crown Tundra map to find Regigigas. You will notice that several of the rocks in this area have glowing symbols on them. Your task is to locate the three rocks that have footprints leading straight from one to another, forming a triangle. Once located, interact with the middle rock to trigger a battle with Regigigas. Use your battle strategies and Poké Balls wisely to capture this mighty Legendary Pokémon.
