How to Obtain Bonsly, Budew, Mantyke, Munchlax, Mime Jr., and Wynaut in Pokémon Sword and Shield

Are you eager to add Bonsly, Budew, Mantyke, Munchlax, Mime Jr., or Wynaut to your Pokémon Sword and Shield collection? We’ve got you covered. In this guide, we’ll explain how to obtain these sought-after Pokémon in the game.

1. Bonsly

To get your hands on a Bonsly, you’ll need to hatch it from an Egg. You can find Bonsly’s pre-evolved form, Sudowoodo, in the Motostoke Riverbank. Enter the area during the daytime (between 8:00 am and 8:59 pm) and look for Sudowoodo, who will try to disguise itself as a tree. Engage it in battle, weaken it, and capture it. Once you have Sudowoodo, breed it at a Pokémon Nursery to obtain a Bonsly Egg.

2. Budew

To obtain a Budew, head to Route 4. Look for an NPC (non-playable character) standing near some grass south of the Professor’s house. Interact with this NPC, who will offer to trade their Roselia for any Pokémon with Sweet Scent. Sweet Scent is an ability that can be learned by many Pokémon and is not too difficult to obtain. Once you have Sweet Scent, complete the trade with the NPC, and you’ll receive a Budew.

3. Mantyke

To add Mantyke to your collection, you’ll need to find and capture a Mantine first. Mantine can be found in the waters of Route 9. After catching a Mantine, make sure it knows the move Surf. Now, travel to the small island in the middle of the water and use Surf. Mantyke has a chance to appear alongside wild Pokémon encounters. Engage in battle with Mantyke, weaken it, and capture it to add it to your team.

4. Munchlax

Munchlax can be only obtained through a method called Max Raids. Look for Max Raid Dens, which can be found in the Wild Areas of the game. Keep in mind that Munchlax is exclusive to the Shield version, so if you’re playing Pokémon Sword, you’ll need to trade with someone who has the Shield version to obtain it.

5. Mime Jr.

To obtain Mime Jr., you’ll first need to catch a Mr. Mime. Mr. Mime can be found on Route 10. After capturing a Mr. Mime, make sure it knows the move Mimic. Now, breed Mr. Mime at the Pokémon Nursery, and you’ll have a chance to hatch a Mime Jr. from the Eggs produced.

6. Wynaut

Lastly, to get your hands on a Wynaut, you’ll need to hatch it from an Egg. To obtain the Egg, you’ll need to leave two Wobbuffet at the Pokémon Nursery on Route 5. Make sure the two Wobbuffet are different genders. After leaving them at the nursery for some time, the Old Man near the entrance will offer you an Egg. Take the Egg and walk around until it hatches, and you’ll have a shiny new Wynaut!

Now that you know how to obtain these Pokémon in Pokémon Sword and Shield, you can start working on completing your collection. Happy hunting!
