How to Obtain and Finish the Exclusive Timed Research for the Pokémon World Championships 2023 in Pokémon Go

Pokémon Go Joins the World Championships Party

Pokémon Go is making waves at the Pokémon World Championships again. To mark the occasion, Niantic is throwing a special event with extra goodies for players.

What’s New in the 2023 Celebration

From August 11 to 15, get ready for more Pokémon popping up everywhere. You’ll meet a new Pikachu wearing a World Championships Jersey and see Passimian for the first time. Keep your eyes peeled for Shiny Scraggy and Scrafty, too. These are must-catches because they come with rare moves not usually found in the wild or through evolution.

During this event, there are two sets of Timed Research tasks. One set is free for everyone. The other set? You’ll need a code. How do you get it? Watch the Pokémon Go World Championship livestream.

Unlock Exclusive Rewards

Tune into the official Pokémon Go Twitch stream from August 10 to 12. Hook up your Twitch account and watch for at least 30 minutes each day. Doing this nets you a code for extra Timed Research tasks. Don’t forget: leaving the stream might reset your watch time.

Choosing Your Great League Team

On the first day of the World Championships, you can pick a team for the Great League. Whether you like Swampert and Skarmory or prefer Azumarill’s power, there’s a team for you. Complete tasks to earn Stardust, encounter specific Pokémon, and snag some Premium Battle Passes.

Then, pay tribute to DancingRob, 2022’s Pokémon Go Master’s Division World Champion, with special tasks on day two. Win matches, catch types, and power up Pokémon for unique rewards like Stardust, XP, and encounters.

Pokémon Go’s World Championships celebration brings a mix of fun, strategy, and rare finds. Don’t miss out on this blend of competitive spirit and community fun.
