Join the Victorian Porygon2 Competition
To get your free competitive Porygon2, you’ll need to participate in the Victorian Porygon2 competition, which will take place from September 17 to 19. This online competition is open to all Pokémon Sword and Shield players with a Nintendo Switch Online subscription. Registration for the competition is currently open, and you can sign up through the Pokémon Global Link website.
Meet the Competition Regulations
During the Victorian Porygon2 competition, players will need to abide by specific battle regulations to have a shot at obtaining the competitive Porygon2. The competition will follow the Series 8 rules, meaning you can only use Pokémon from the Galar Pokédex, excluding certain legendary and mythical Pokémon. Additionally, the use of certain legendary and mythical Pokémon as well as specific items and moves will not be allowed.

Once you’ve registered for the competition and met all the battle regulations, it’s time to earn your Porygon2. Players will receive a special serial code after the competition ends, which can be redeemed in Pokémon Sword and Shield to receive the competitive Porygon2. To redeem the code, select Mystery Gift from the game’s main menu, choose to receive a gift via the internet, and enter the provided code.
