How to Locate and Capture Slakoth in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

In a surprising twist, Slakoth has turned into one of the toughest Pokémon to spot and catch in a Pokémon game. This Normal-type was always a bit rare, but finding one in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is tougher than ever.

If you haven’t come across a Slakoth chilling like a Komala or any other dozing Pokémon in your Paldea adventure, you’re not alone.

Interestingly, it’s easier to encounter Vigoroth active in their habitats. Plus, you need to upgrade Koraidon or Miraidon to find Slakoth easily. This is except for Tera Raids or the odd chance of finding one by luck.

Finding Slakoth in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet introduced a cool mechanic. Players can target and throw Poké Balls at Pokémon from far to start a battle. However, not all Pokémon fall from trees or start battles this way.

Slakoth is a rare find in trees and tough to hit with a Poké Ball. It also hides well, sitting on tree limbs instead of hanging beneath them.

The Perfect Spot to Catch Slakoth

To catch Slakoth, head to Paldea’s Southeast area—South Province Areas One, Three, and Five. Look through trees there. Then, rush the tree with Koraidon or Miraidon to shake the Pokémon loose.

How to Rush with Koraidon or Miraidon

To rush, you need to beat at least one Titan Pokémon in the Path of Legends story. By this point, you might already have a Vigoroth. But for those filling out their Pokédex, this is the method.
