How to Gain Early Access to Pokémon Sleep on iOS and Android

Pokémon Sleep: How to Start Playing Now

You can now play Pokémon Sleep in some places, but not everywhere. If it’s not available in your area yet, you’ll need to follow some steps to join the fun.

Niantic released the game on July 16, but only in New Zealand for now. They plan to make it available in other places soon. We’re not sure when or where it will hit next.

While waiting for the game to hit your area, there are ways to catch some Z’s with Pokémon early. Here’s how to get Pokémon Sleep on both iOS and Android.

Play Early on iOS

To play Pokémon Sleep in places where it’s not out yet, iOS users need to take some steps.

First, create an iOS account linked to New Zealand. Use a VPN to connect to New Zealand when signing into your device. You will also need a New Zealand address. Don’t worry; you can find tools online to create one. You won’t need to add a payment card.

After setting up your account, you can download and launch Pokémon Sleep. You can then switch back to your original account. You can stop using the VPN too.

Get It Early on Android

Getting Pokémon Sleep on Android is simpler. You don’t need a VPN or a special account.

Instead, download the game’s APK file from a third-party website. Make sure your device can install apps from unknown sources. Then, install it.
