Do you like collecting stones when you’re outdoors? That’s exactly what Niantic intends for you to do during the Pokémon Go Adventure Week 2023 event. This time, the focus is on Fossil Pokémon for all four Collection Challenges.
Rock and Roll with Rock-types and Fossil Pokémon
From July 27 to August 2, Rock-type Pokémon, especially Fossil ones, will show up more in the wild and in raids. Get ready for Mega Tyranitar’s big entrance in Mega Raids. This is your chance to catch many first-stage Fossil Pokémon, like Aerodactyl. For the first time, you can even catch shiny versions of Tyrunt and Amaura.
Catch Them All for Rewards
Try to catch as many Fossil Pokémon as you can. They’re not only rare but also bring you extra rewards in fossil-themed Collection Challenges. There are four challenges in total. Each one involves catching a pair of Fossil Pokémon from different generations. Don’t sweat over Gen VI fossils, they’re just featured Pokémon. You’ll see a lot of them.
The Adventure Week 2023 Collection Challenges
Let’s dive into how to complete these Collection Challenges. For the Dome & Helix Challenge, you’ll need to catch a Kabuto and an Omanyte, then evolve them into Kabutops and Omastar. Completing this challenge gets you 2,000 Stardust and a Tyrunt encounter.
Moving on to the Root & Claw Adventure Week 2023 Challenge, catch an Anorith and a Lileep, and evolve them into Armaldo and Cradily. Your reward will be 2,000 Stardust and an Amaura encounter.
More Challenges Await
Next is the Skull & Armor Adventure Week 2023 Challenge. Catch a Shieldon and a Cranidos, then evolve them into Bastiodon and Rampardos. Again, a Tyrunt encounter and 2,000 Stardust are your rewards.
Finally, for the Cover & Plume Adventure Week 2023 Challenge, catch an Archen and a Tirtouga, evolve them, and earn another 2,000 Stardust plus an Amaura encounter.
Completing these Collection Challenges may take some time, depending on your play frequency. Don’t forget the Timed Research and choose your adventure path wisely.
