How to Collect Zygarde Cells and Unlock All Its Forms in Pokémon Go

Zygarde’s Big Entry into Pokémon Go

The Legendary Zygarde steps into Pokémon Go with the Blaze New Trails event. Now, players can meet Zygarde in the Special Research story, From A to Zygarde. Catching Zygarde is just the start, as more adventures await afterwards.

Zygarde’s Different Looks

Zygarde can look like a dog, snake, or even bulkier in its three forms. You’ll see it as a dog or 10 percent Forme first but can change its look using Zygarde Cells. The dog form is fast but frail. The snake or 50 percent Forme is tougher. The Complete Forme is the toughest of all.

To see Zygarde in its 50 percent or Complete Forme, here’s what you should know.

Finding Zygarde Cells

You need Zygarde Cells to change its form. Find these by using the new Routes feature in Pokémon Go. This is the only way to get Zygarde Cells right now.

The Routes feature gives players extra perks, like finding Zygarde Cells, as they follow or create a path.

Changing Zygarde’s Form

Got Zygarde Cells? Put them in your Zygarde Cube to change its form. The exact details aren’t out yet, but we know it depends on the number of Cells you collect.

In other games, you also need to find Zygarde Cells to change its look. Use a Reassembly Unit with your Zygarde Cube to switch forms.

Zygarde turns into its Complete Forme in battle if it has the Power Construct ability and its health drops below half.

Since Pokémon Go doesn’t have abilities, it’s still a mystery how to get Zygarde’s Complete Forme. It might be released later, similarly to Shiny variants, or depend on the number of Cells you gather. For now, we’ll keep collecting Cells while exploring Routes.
