Rotom is a versatile and unique Electric/Ghost type Pokemon known for its ability to possess and animate various appliances. In Pokemon Sword and Shield, there are several different forms of Rotom that players can obtain. Each form has its own special move, adding an extra layer of strategy to your team. Here’s a guide on how to obtain every Rotom form in Pokemon Sword and Shield.

Rotom’s Base Form

To begin your Rotom journey, you’ll first need to catch a base form Rotom. This can be done by heading to Route 5 and interacting with the tower located northeast of the Day Care. If you’re lucky, you might encounter a wild Rotom there. Another way to obtain Rotom is by participating in Max Raid Battles, as it can spawn in dens around the Wild Area.

Rotom’s Fan Form

To acquire the Fan Form Rotom, you’ll need the Rotom Fan item. This item can be obtained by completing the Pokedex in Pokemon Home. Once you have the Rotom Fan, head to Hammerlocke Hills and interact with the Stone Grave next to two trees. Your Rotom will then change into its Fan Form.

Rotom’s Frost Form

For the Frost Form Rotom, you’ll need the Rotom Frost item. To obtain this item, complete the Pokedex in the Crown Tundra. With the Rotom Frost in hand, head to Three-Point Pass and interact with the Stone Grave located next to the pond. Your Rotom will transform into the Frost Form.

Rotom’s Heat Form

The Heat Form Rotom requires the Rotom Heat item. This item can be obtained by completing the Pokedex in the Isle of Armor. Once you have the Rotom Heat, make your way to the Workout Sea located on the Isle of Armor. Interact with the Stone Grave on the beach, and your Rotom will evolve into the Heat Form.

Rotom’s Mow Form

The Mow Form Rotom necessitates the Rotom Mow item. You can acquire this item by completing the Pokedex in the Isle of Armor. With the Rotom Mow in hand, head to the Master Dojo garden. Interact with the lawnmower located to the left of the Dojo’s entrance, and your Rotom will take on its Mow Form.

Rotom’s Wash Form

Finally, the Wash Form Rotom requires the Rotom Wash item. This item is obtained by completing the Pokedex in the Isle of Armor. Once you have the Rotom Wash, head to the Workout Sea and locate the Stone Grave on the rock formation. Interact with it, and your Rotom will transform into the Wash Form.
