Fresh Information Unveiled about Pokémon TCG’s Chilling Reign Card Set

New Details Released for Pokémon TCG’s Chilling Reign Set

The Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) recently unveiled additional information about its upcoming Chilling Reign set. This expansion is set to release on June 18, 2021, and will feature over 190 cards, including 15 new Pokemon V and 8 powerful Pokemon VMAX. Here are the key takeaways from the latest reveal:

1. Calyrex and Galarian Articuno VMAX Take Center Stage
Calyrex and Galarian Articuno VMAX will be the two main focal points of the Chilling Reign set. Calyrex VMAX showcases two different forms—Ice Rider and Shadow Rider—both possessing distinctive abilities and attacks. Meanwhile, Galarian Articuno VMAX wields a menacing Gusting Gale Ability that allows players to move energy cards from their opponent’s active Pokemon to their bench.

2. New Abilities: Rapid Strike and Single Strike
The Chilling Reign set introduces the Rapid Strike and Single Strike abilities. These abilities influence various gameplay strategies and card interactions. Pokemon that possess these abilities can launch specific attacks based on their designated strike style—whether it be Rapid Strike or Single Strike.

3. Additional Cards and Mechanics
In addition to Calyrex and Galarian Articuno, Chilling Reign will introduce various new Pokemon V and Pokemon VMAX, including Ice Rider Calyrex V, Shadow Rider Calyrex V, and Blaziken VMAX. The set will also feature new Item and Supporter cards that further enhance gameplay and provide more diverse strategies.

4. Collectible Booster Packs and Elite Trainer Box
As with previous sets, Chilling Reign will be available in booster packs containing 10 cards per pack. Additionally, collectors can also purchase the Chilling Reign Elite Trainer Box, which includes eight booster packs, 65 card sleeves, dice, and other accessories.

With the release of the Chilling Reign expansion on the horizon, collectors and players alike can look forward to exploring new strategies and adding powerful cards to their Pokémon TCG decks. Stay tuned for more updates as the set’s release date approaches.
