Complete Guide to Finding All Legendary Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet

Legendary Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet don’t introduce many Legendary Pokémon when they first launch. But, in the near future, new DLCs will add more Legendaries to the game. Until then, players have six Legendary Pokémon to discover and catch.

These six include the Treasures of Ruin – Chi-Yu, Chien-Pao, Wo-Chien, and Ting-Lu – plus two main Legendaries, Koraidon and Miraidon.

Meet the Paradox Pokémon

Aside from them, there’s a new kind of Pokémon called Paradox Pokémon. These Pokémon are past and future versions of existing Pokémon with high base stats. Scarlet players get past versions, while Violet players get future versions.

Here’s a list of all Legendary and Paradox Pokémon you can find in the games.

Where to Find Them

Koraidon is Scarlet’s main Legendary. Players travel with it in Paldea. After finishing the main quest, it can battle alongside the player. Another Koraidon waits at the Great Crater of Paldea for trainers.

Miraidon plays the same role in Violet. Follow similar steps to Koraidon to add Miraidon to your team. It, too, can be found again in the Great Crater of Paldea.

To catch Chi-Yu, look for the Firescourge Shrine in northeast Paldea. You’ll need eight blue stakes to enter. Chien-Pao is in the Icerend Shrine in the southwest, needing eight yellow stakes. Wo-Chien waits at the Grasswither Shrine in the southeast, where eight purple stakes unlock the door. Ting-Lu is at the Groundblight Shrine in the northwest. Unlock it with eight green stakes.

Great Tusk, a past form of Donphan, appears in Scarlet’s Asado Desert as a Titan Pokémon. After the story, it can also appear in Area Zero. Scream Tail, past Jigglypuff, is nearby in Area Zero, too.

Brute Bonnet, the past Amoonguss, Flutter Mane, past Misdreavus, and Slither Wing, past Volcarona, are all located in Area Zero of Scarlet, each with a chance to appear in specific biomes.

Violet’s Iron Treads, the future Donphan, can first be caught in Asado Desert. It too appears in Area Zero after the main story.

Iron Bundle, future Delibird, and Iron Hands, future Hariyama, wait in Area Zero of Violet, each with a good chance of appearing in certain biomes. The same goes for Iron Jugulis, future Hydreigon, and Iron Moth, future Volcarona.

Iron Thorns, future Tyranitar, and Iron Valiant, future Gallade and Gardevoir, also hide in Area Zero of Violet, ready for trainers to find them.
