Can Zorua and Zoroark Be Caught in Pokémon Go?

Pokémon Go keeps bringing new Pokémon into the game with events like Go Fest and Adventure Week. These events let trainers catch their favorite Pokémon, including unique Shiny versions and regional forms. For example, to highlight Pokémon Legends: Arceus, the game introduced Hisuian species and new forms of familiar Pokémon.

Looking for Zorua and Zoroark?

You might be wondering if you can find your favorite Pokémon, or a specific form of it, in the game. One duo many trainers are excited about is Zorua, the Tricky Fox from Unova, and its evolution, Zoroark. These Dark-type Pokémon are very popular and even have new Hisuian forms from the Arceus game.

Can You Catch Zorua and Zoroark in Pokémon Go?

Since the first Unova Pokémon joined Pokémon Go in 2019, fans have been eager to see when fifth-generation favorites will show up. In 2022, Axew got some attention with a new Shiny version at Pokémon Go Fest. But with most species already in the game, Niantic is releasing new ones slowly.

Yes, you can catch Zorua and Zoroark. These two surprised players during Shuppet’s Spotlight Hour on October 25, 2022, but due to a bug, they officially entered the game on October 28. Besides these two, only Keldeo from Unova was added in 2022. Now, only Larvesta and Volcarona are waiting to join.

What About Hisuian Zorua and Zoroark?

Since you can now catch regular Zorua and Zoroark in Pokémon Go, you might wonder about their Shiny and Hisuian versions. So far, those forms haven’t made it to the game.

The Tricky Fox and its evolution, the Illusion Fox Pokémon, debuted in the fifth-generation Black and White games. They also got popular Hisuian forms in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Hisuian Zorua even starred in the 2022 animated series Pokémon: Hisuian Snow, making it more popular. But, as of now, Niantic has not shared when these new forms will arrive in Pokémon Go. Given the recent addition of their original forms and the slow pace of Gen V releases, it’s only a matter of time.
