After a break from tradition, Niantic and Game Freak are bringing back exciting features connecting the main series Pokémon games with Pokémon Go. This time, it’s all about Gimmighoul and grabbing an exclusive form you can’t find in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
Last November, Pokémon Go first teased Gimmighoul. This happened weeks before Gen IX hit the scene. Initially, it was just a cool crossover, but since Pokémon Day 2023, the fun, linked gameplay is here for everyone.
What’s the Deal with Gold PokéStops?
In Scarlet and Violet, you can spot Gimmighoul’s two looks – Chest and Roaming. But, you can only nab the Chest Form. While Roaming Gimmighoul pop up in Paldea, you can’t catch them. You can only collect Gimmighoul Coins after interacting with them.
Can You Catch Gimmighoul in Pokémon Go?
Once you have 999 Gimmighoul Coins – from catching them or sending Postcards – you can turn your Gimmighoul into a Gholdengo in Pokémon Go. This evolution works just like in Scarlet and Violet.
For now, Chest Form Gimmighoul won’t show up in Pokémon Go. They’re only in the Gen IX games. But, this might change with future Pokémon HOME updates.
So there you have it. Pokémon fans have lots to explore with these new interactive features between Pokémon Go and the latest series titles. It’s a fantastic time to dive into both worlds and uncover all the secrets Gimmighoul holds.
