Walking around with Pokémon Go, you might spot cute green blobs. They have a single yellow feather and big appetites. This Pokémon, Gulpin, and its evolved form, Swalot, can eat almost anything thanks to the acids in their stomachs.
They popped up first in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire. Since then, they’re known as big Poison-types. You’ll find them mostly in cities in Pokémon Go. They’re not super strong but Swalot can be useful in certain fights.
Their Shiny forms are blue, which stands out. But, for over five years, players haven’t been able to find these Shiny types in the game.
Can You Find Shiny Gulpin and Swalot?
Recently, Pokémon Go has been hosting events focused on different Pokémon regions. These events let all Pokémon from those areas show up as Shiny, even the ones that weren’t available before. The trend continues with the Pokémon Go Tour: Hoenn. For the first time, Gulpin and Swalot will be available in their Shiny forms.
Even after the Hoenn event, you can still find Shiny Gulpin and Swalot. But, they won’t show up as often as they do during the event.
