Can Amaura and Aurorus Appear as Shiny Variants in Pokémon Go?

Pokémon Go’s Exciting New Season

Pokémon Go’s latest Season of Go has started, and it kicks off with two amazing events. The first is Go Fest 2022, happening on June 4 and 5. Right after, Adventure Week takes over from June 7 to 12.

Adventure Week 2022

This year’s Adventure Week is the first since 2019. It focuses on Rock-Type and Fossil Pokémon. Players will see new Shiny forms and some new Pokémon. For the first time in Pokémon Go, Tyrunt, Amaura, and their evolutions, Tyrantrum and Aurorus, will join the game. Everyone is asking if these new Tundra Pokémon will also have Shiny versions.

How to Find Amaura and Aurorus

Finding Amaura in the wild is rare unless there’s an event that increases its spawn rate. Although it’s part Ice-type, Amaura is still hard to find, even in snowy weather when Ice-types usually show up more. Players find success catching Pokémon like Amaura when they use Adventure Incense. The Pokémon you find with this incense is random each day. To evolve Amaura into Aurorus, you need 50 Amaura Candies. Remember, you can only evolve it at night.

Getting Shiny Amaura and Aurorus

After waiting for a year, Shiny Amaura and Aurorus will soon appear in Pokémon Go. These two, along with Tyrunt and Tyrantrum, will get their Shiny versions during this year’s Adventure Week. This event puts them in the limelight, offering more chances to find them. After the event ends on August 2 at 8 pm local time, finding Shiny Amaura and Aurorus will be tough again. The real challenge is not just finding these rare Pokémon but remembering their Shiny forms aren’t always guaranteed to show up.
