Pokémon UNITE Turns Two
Pokémon UNITE is about to hit its second anniversary on July 21. The team behind it just teased us with a sneak peek of the event. Looks like, thanks to some leaks and datamining, players should get ready for lots of new stuff to dive into.
Just recently, on July 17, at 11pm CT, the game got a fresh update to Version 1.11.1.2. This update added several new things and fixed others. One big update was the new login screen, which lines up with leaked info buzzing around online.
Exciting New Additions
First, let’s talk about the Pokémon teased in the login screen. Blaziken, a fire Pokémon, stands out. It was first leaked by ElChicoEevee on Twitter back on May 20. By July 18, there was buzz that Blaziken would join the game on September 14.
We also saw Bellibot, Flamigo, and Tinkaton. They might show up in a new battle mode called Defense Panic Parade. Leaked details suggest this mode will drop with a brand new map on July 13.
In the Defense Panic Parade mode, players fight waves of Pokémon. They must quickly defeat them to protect their base. This mode seems to offer four difficulty levels. They range from Casual with five waves to Extreme with 15 waves.
Another exciting Pokémon making an appearance is Mewtwo, along with its mega-evolved form, Mega Mewtwo X. This will start on July 21. Then in mid-August, Mega Mewtwo Y will step into the arena.
Pirate-Themed Fun?
The login screen and some of the Pokémon’s outfits hint at a possible pirate theme. This could be for the upcoming 17th Battle Pass in Pokémon UNITE. This idea was leaked on July 7 by Serebii.net on Twitter.
