Ampharos ex Battle Deck Card List and Evolution Guide for Pokémon TCG

The Pokémon Company just launched two exciting Pokémon TCG ex Battle decks. These are for the English version of Scarlet and Violet: Paldea Evolved. They move away from the beginner V builds. Now, there’s an awesome Ampharos ex in the Lightning type.

Beginners and casual players have a great chance with these new decks. They can learn Pokémon TCG ex tactics and how to play with the Ampharos and Lucario ex Battle Decks. These decks are super beginner-friendly. They’re perfect for newbies or casual play at home.

Guide to Ampharos ex Battle Deck

The Ampharos ex Battle Deck packs powerful Stage Two Pokémon. These Pokémon help control the game. They also have a lot of health, letting them last longer. Players must watch their Basic Energy. Many Pokémon in the deck can discard them to hit harder.

Within the Ampharos ex Battle Deck, you find three Basic Pokémon that don’t evolve and three that do.

Evolutions in the Deck

Mareep

  • Turns into Flaffy
  • Which evolves into Ampharos ex

Starly

  • Turns into Staravia
  • Which evolves into Staraptor

Wattrel

  • Turns into Kilowattrel

Other Basic Pokémon

  • Miraidon
  • Rotom
  • Flamigo

Help from Support Trainers

All Support Trainers in the Ampharos ex Battle Deck come with a rule. You cannot play more than one Supporter card a turn.

  • Nemona: Draw three cards.
  • Youngster: Shuffle and draw five cards.
  • Jacq: Find up to two Evolution Pokémon, show them, and add them to your hand. Shuffle the deck after.

Useful Item Trainers

No rules on Item Trainer cards here. Play as many as you want on your turn.

  • Energy Retrieval: Get two Basic Energy cards from your discard pile.
  • Nest Ball: Find a Basic Pokémon and put it on your Bench. Shuffle the deck after.
  • Potion: Heal a Pokémon by 30 health.
  • Switch: Swap your Active Pokémon with a Benched one.
  • Ultra Ball: Discard two cards to search for a Pokémon. Show it, add it to your hand, and shuffle your deck.
  • Pokégear 3.0: Look at the top 7 cards. You can keep a Supporter card and shuffle the rest back into the deck.

More Scarlet and Violet English Pokémon ex Battle decks will drop on July 14. Look out for Chien-Pao ex and Tinkaton ex. These decks open up more strategies and fun for players of all levels.
