Zygarde Makes Its Debut in Pokémon Go
Pokémon Go fans, get ready! Zygarde, the Order Pokémon, is here for the first time. It’s part of the Blazing New Trails event. This legendary Pokémon from Gen VI is showing up from July 21 at 10am to July 24 at 8pm, your local time.
New Features and Special Rewards Await
Also, there’s a cool new thing called Routes. You can make your own paths or follow others’ paths while playing. By doing so, you earn rewards and meet Pokémon. This ties into the event’s Special Research story well. Finishing it will get you a face-to-face with Zygarde and a Zygarde Cube. This is your key to finding Zygarde Cells.
For your first chance to catch Zygarde, you have to complete the From A to Zygarde Special Research tasks. Good news – it’s free! There are six pages full of tasks to dive into.
Let’s Break Down the Tasks and Rewards
Here’s a quick look at the tasks and what you get from them:
- Page One: Walk, catch Pokémon, use berries. Rewards: 500 Stardust.
- Page Two: Make great throws, power up Pokémon, hatch an egg. Rewards: 1,000 Stardust.
- Page Three: Simply claim your rewards. Rewards: Zygarde (10% Forme) encounter, Zygarde Cube.
- Page Four: Follow routes, catch Pokémon on routes, find a Zygarde Cell. Rewards: 1,000 XP, 1,000 Stardust.
- Page Five: Use an Incense on a route, earn candies with your buddy, follow more routes. Rewards: 2,000 XP.
- Page Six: Again, just claim your rewards. Rewards: 2,500 XP, 2,500 Stardust.
After finishing page three and meeting Zygarde, start collecting Zygarde Cells. With enough cells, you can upgrade Zygarde from its 10% Forme to 50% or even 100%.
