Event-exclusive Raids announced for Pokémon GO Tour: Johto
Pokémon GO fans have yet another reason to be excited about the upcoming Pokémon GO Tour: Johto event. Niantic has just revealed that the event will feature multiple event-exclusive raids for players to participate in.
During the Pokémon GO Tour: Johto event, players will have the opportunity to encounter and battle against several rare and powerful Pokémon in raids. These Pokémon are normally only available through special events or in specific regions, making this a unique chance for players to catch them.
The event-exclusive raids will be divided into four different categories, each featuring a different set of Pokémon. These categories are called “Bringing Down the Thunder,” “Flying Solo,” “Tripping the Light Fantastic,” and “Challenger’s Choice.” Each category will have a specific pool of Pokémon that players can encounter in raids.
In the “Bringing Down the Thunder” category, Pokémon such as Raikou, Zapdos, and Zapdos’s shiny form will be available. These Electric- and Flying-type Pokémon are known for their high power and rarity, making them highly sought after by trainers.
The “Flying Solo” category will feature Pokémon like Skarmory, Doduo, and Dodrio. These Flying-type Pokémon are not only strong in battles, but also have a unique appearance that many trainers find appealing.
In the “Tripping the Light Fantastic” category, players will have the chance to battle against Pokémon like Ampharos, Mareep, and Flaaffy. These Electric-type Pokémon are known for their rare forms and impressive abilities, making them valuable additions to any trainer’s team.
Lastly, in the “Challenger’s Choice” category, players will have the opportunity to vote for a Pokémon they want to encounter in raids. The Pokémon with the highest number of votes will be featured in raids during the event.
To participate in these event-exclusive raids, players will need an event ticket for the Pokémon GO Tour: Johto event. The event will take place on February 26th, 2022, from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM local time. Players can purchase tickets through the in-game shop.
