Get Ready to Battle: Team Go Rocket Returns

If you’re out of the loop, Team Go Rocket is back in Pokémon Go! It’s time to put on your battling gear. As always, you’ll face off against Team Go Rocket NPCs. You’ll also dive into a new Special Research, A Shadowy Disturbance.

This June 2023, the Team Go Rocket Takeover is happening with the Solstice Horizons event. It ends on June 25. You can fight Go Rocket Grunts and tackle Collection Challenges at the same time. These challenges relate to changing Pokémon spawns and Special Research.

One big plus is more Go Rocket appearances and 12km Eggs with rare Pokémon like Larvitar, Deino, and Salandit. You aim to finish A Shadowy Disturbance. Or, try to catch your first Shiny Pancham.

What’s New for Returnees and Newcomers

If you’ve clashed with Go Rocket before, this will feel familiar. If you’re new, get ready for an exciting challenge. You’ll face the evil team from Pokémon Go’s story.

Details on A Shadowy Disturbance Special Research

The journey begins with A Shadowy Disturbance page one:
– Catch 15 Pokémon for Five Pinap Berries.
– Spin five PokéStops or Gyms for 10 Poké Balls.
– Defeat three Team Go Rocket Grunts for One Mysterious component.

Your rewards? 1,000 XP, 1,000 Stardust, and an Aron encounter.

On to A Shadowy Disturbance page two:
– Catch 15 Pokémon for Five Pinap Berries.
– Transfer 10 Pokémon for 15 Great Balls.
– Beat six Team Go Rocket Grunts for Three Mysterious components.

Finish this for 1,500 XP, 1,500 Stardust, and a Graveler meet-up.

A Shadowy Disturbance page three ups the challenge:
– Defeat Team Go Rocket Leader Arlo for 2,500 XP.
– Take down Team Go Rocket Leader Cliff for another 2,500 XP.
– Win against Team Go Rocket Leader Sierra for 2,500 XP more.

Complete these for 2,500 XP, 3,000 Stardust, and a Super Rocket Radar.

Lastly, A Shadowy Disturbance page four requires you to:
– Find the Team Go Rocket Boss for 10 Hyper Potions.
– Battle the Team Go Rocket Boss for 10 Ultra Balls.
– Defeat the Team Go Rocket Boss for Six Max Revives.

Success brings 3,000 XP, 3,000 Stardust, and a chance to snag a Sableye.

A final page lets you claim all rewards again: 2,500 XP each time, totaling 7,500 XP.
