Exciting return of Play! Pokémon in-store events

The Impact of COVID

The global COVID pandemic hit us hard, including the Pokémon community. In 2020, it stopped the entire Pokémon Championship Series in its tracks. This meant no tournaments, whether big or small. It was a tough time for players around the world.

Back in the Game

While big tournaments like Regionals and Internationals are back, it’s taken longer for in-store competitions to return. But good news, they’re officially coming back! This gives players more chances to earn Championship Points and prizes right in their neighborhood.

Chase Your World Championship Dreams

Sure, Championship Points from in-store tournaments might be smaller, but they all add up. They can help you get an invite to the 2023 World Championships in Yokohama, Japan. Pokémon Go players can even win travel stipends for the North America International Championships. All you need is enough Championship Points.
