2 Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Tera Raid Events Suddenly Called Off

This week, fans of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet were buzzing with excitement. They looked forward to tackling two special Tera Raid events. These were the mighty seven-star Unrivaled Chesnaught raid and thrilling five-star raids with Great Tusk and Iron Treads. But, things took a turn when both events got canceled right after kicking off on May 18.

We found a glitch that could crash your game after you faced Great Tusk and Iron Treads in the five-star raids. So, we had to put a hold on these Raid battles, including the Chesnaught ones. For more info, check out our tweet.

Tweet about raid cancellation

Right after the events began, players ran into a snag. A glitch would make their game crash. Also, after clearing the Great Tusk and Iron Treads raids, players noticed a reward item labeled “None.” Since the Unrivaled Chesnaught raid was happening at the same time, we had to stop it too, until we sort things out.

Glitches Aren’t New Here

Sadly, problems like this are not strange to Scarlet and Violet. Remember Walking Wake and Iron Leaves? Their first Tera Raid event got messed up by a bug. This bug stopped some players from catching these two legendary Pokémon. Luckily, we fixed this bug, and players got a new chance to catch them early this month.

Based on what happened before, we expect to see a rerun of the raids for Unrivaled Chesnaught, Great Tusk, and Iron Treads. We don’t know when, but we’ll let you know as soon as we do.

More Trouble for Players

It’s not just the raids giving players a hard time. This week, Ray Rizzo, a three-time VGC World Champion, lost his invite to Worlds right after getting it. And the big update everyone’s been waiting for in Pokémon HOME? Still no release date, even though we thought there was one.

Fixing the Problems

The stream of glitches has left fans feeling let down and upset. It’s now up to The Pokémon Company to step up. They need to make things right and stop these problems from popping up again.

To all Pokémon Scarlet and Violet players, we hear you. We’re working hard to fix these issues. Keep an eye out for updates on when the raids will return. We appreciate your patience and want to make your gaming experience better.
