2 Grass Type Pokémon Lag in Performance, but Players May Have a Fix

A Cool Boost for Grass Pokémon

Pokémon fans always look for ways to make their favorite Pokémon shine in competitive play. They recently proposed a fun boost for two Grass types. These Pokémon, Carnivine and Victreebel, are rarely seen in battles. Fans shared their ideas on Reddit on June 29.

One player suggested giving Carnivine and Victreebel a new ability, “Carnivorous.” This ability would let Grass-type moves hit Bug Pokémon hard. It fits the lore well since both Pokémon are like real-world carnivorous plants.

Nature Fights Back

Usually, Grass types struggle against Bugs. But, Carnivine and Victreebel are based on plants that eat bugs. So, it makes sense for them to fight back effectively. This new ability does just that.

Some players thought of another idea. Instead of an ability, these Pokémon could get a special move. They suggested “Fly Trap,” a move that would be super strong against Bugs. It would work like Freeze-Dry, an Ice-type move that’s great against Water types.

Benefits and Worries

If “Fly Trap” was a move, Victreebel would benefit a lot. It already has a strong ability, Chlorophyll. Carnivine, though, would be fine swapping its Levitate ability for it.

Fans were excited about the potential buff for Carnivine and Victreebel. However, they felt sorry for Bug Pokémon that would have a hard time against these moves.

Final Thoughts

Pokémon fans are creative and always thinking of ways to improve the game. They show a lot of love for lesser-used Pokémon. These ideas for Carnivine and Victreebel show that well. Whether it’s a new ability or move, fans just want to see their favorites do well in battle. Yet, they still have a soft spot for the Bug types that would struggle against these changes.
