Good news for Zac fans! Riot is reverting Zac’s ultimate back to its pre-Patch 7.9 state in the upcoming Patch 9.11.

Zac’s Stretching Strikes had its slow reduced from 60 percent to 40 percent. The cooldown has also been shortened from 13/12/11/10/9 seconds to 13/11.5/10/8.5/7 seconds. Moreover, Zac’s W ability, Unstable Matter, now deals two percent of a target’s maximum health per 100 ability power.

Zac’s ultimate has undergone a major revert as well. Instead of flattening himself onto the ground and picking up enemies, he now bounces four times with a one-second delay between each bounce. Each bounce also inflicts magic damage and knocks enemies up for one second.

Repeated bounces on the same target will do reduced damage but won’t knock them up. Zac can also move during his ultimate, gaining ramping movement speed up to 50 percent.

The developers at Riot admitted that they “went too far in pulling damage out of Zac in our quest for a more CC-laden tank,” and acknowledged that “diving the back line and doing damage is core to who he is as a champion.” These changes to Zac aim to restore his damage potential while still providing him the tools to disrupt the enemy team in fights.
