YouTuber Utilizes Steering Wheel and Pedals for League of Legends Gameplay

League of Legends Takes Unorthodox Control to the Next Level

Playing video games with unconventional controllers is nothing new in the Twitch speedrunning community. From beating Harry Potter while riding a unicycle to conquering Dark Souls with a Guitar Hero controller, gamers have found unique ways to challenge themselves. But now, even League of Legends is getting in on the fun. Popular German YouTuber, Maxim, recently uploaded a video of himself playing Rammus using nothing but a steering wheel and pedals.

In the video, Maxim controls Rammus’ movements by spinning the steering wheel. He activates the champion’s abilities using buttons on the wheel or pedals at his feet. However, his lack of familiarity with this unconventional control scheme resulted in missed ultimates, abilities, and multiple deaths under towers or at the hands of enemy champions.

While trying out this unique method, Maxim only played against bots with a team of other players. This control scheme proved to be extremely challenging, making it unlikely to be adopted in online matches anytime soon.
