Xayah and Twisted Fate among League Patch 13.1 buffs launching next week: Get the details

League of Legends 2023 Ranked Season Patch 13.1 Expectations

As the start of the League of Legends 2023 ranked season approaches, Riot Games has shared a comprehensive overview of the upcoming premiere patch. Patch 13.1, scheduled for release on January 10, will introduce various buffs and nerfs to champions and items.

Complete Explanation of Buffs and Nerfs in Patch 13.1

Following a preview of the changes, Riot Phlox, a designer on League of Legends’ Summoner’s Rift team, has provided a detailed breakdown of all the expected adjustments. These changes will bring enhancements to both champions and items.

Top Lane Changes and Jax Update

In response to the fighter/tank meta, Jayce and Sion will receive damage buffs in the top lane. These champions have been neglected in the meta despite their previous popularity. Additionally, Patch 13.1 will include an update for Jax, a champion that has been around for over a decade.

Mythic Item Adjustment and Shaco’s Builds

Another change in the patch involves Jak’Sho, The Protean, a Mythic item that has gained popularity among unintended champions. The item will have a slightly higher cost and more balanced bonuses. Shaco’s AD-oriented builds will benefit from adjustments to the Q backstab crit ratio, E AD ratio, and reduced mana cost on Q. Axiom Arc, an item favored by assassins like Shaco, will provide eight additional lethality and a total of 18 lethality along with its powerful ultimate refresh effect.

Mages and Item Changes

Mages will experience several item changes in Patch 13.1. Horizon Focus’ AP will be rounded up to 100, Winter’s Approach will be cheaper and provide more HP, and Rod of Ages will offer increased HP and procced movement speed. Seraph’s Embrace will grant ten ability haste and have an adjusted passive that scales with mana. In addition to these modifications, Lissandra and Twisted Fate will receive buffs to their abilities.

Xayah’s Buff in the Bot Lane

The only champion receiving a buff in the bot lane is Xayah. Her base attack speed and attack speed ratio will be slightly increased, allowing her to utilize her feathers more efficiently.

Patch 13.1 is expected to go live on League of Legends’ servers on January 10. Players will have the opportunity to test these changes on the game’s PBE before the official release next week.
