Wukong Update Expected to Arrive on League of Legends’ Live Servers by the End of 2019

Riot Games to Launch Wukong’s Update Before Year End

Riot Games is preparing to release an update for Wukong in League of Legends before the end of the year. Champion designer Nathan “Lutzburg” Lutz has shared a list of changes that Wukong players can expect to see in the future.

Improvements and New Tools for Wukong

Riot Lutzburg expressed the goal of improving Wukong and giving him new tools to succeed in future seasons. These tools will include alternative build paths for increased durability and new ways to capitalize on Wukong’s tricky nature.

Changes include Wukong gaining resistances when near three or more enemy champions and gaining bonus attack range after using an ability. The physical damage on Wukong’s Q has been reduced, but it deals bonus magic damage and heals Wukong. Wukong and his clones can now add stacking marks to their target to increase the damage they deal.

Wukong’s W ability allows him to dash to a target location and leave behind a clone that can attack nearby enemies. His E ability now creates a clone upon dashing to a target enemy. These clones can be targeted and can interrupt spells.

While Wukong’s ultimate ability remains relatively unchanged, it can now be cancelled early if Wukong casts another ability.

Release Date and Testing

Although an exact release date on the Public Beta Environment has not been provided, fans can expect the changes to go live on the testing server soon. The final product is scheduled to be available on live servers before the end of the year.
