When does League of Legends Ranked 2023 Split 2 end?

The End of the League of Legends Ranked Season: What to Expect

The League of Legends ranked season is coming to a close, with the final days of 2023’s second split rapidly approaching. Instead of the usual one-year season, Riot Games divided the ranked experience into two splits this year. The first split ended on July 17, and the second split began on July 19.

If you’re a ranked player, you might have some questions about the length of the second split and what it means for your journey out of Bronze. Will it be as long as the first split? Or will it be shorter? Let’s find out.

When Does the League 2023 Split Two Ranked Season End?

The second split of the League’s 2023 season is now scheduled to end on Wednesday, January 3. Ranked matches should be available until around 3am CT, which is the typical end time for competitive splits in League.

This is a six-week extension from the originally expected end date of November 20. Riot decided to make this change to accommodate the ranked-oriented players who primarily focus on ranked matches and took time away from the game during the lead-up to the holiday season.

It’s important to note that this extension will also carry into 2024. Starting January, May, and September, there will be three new League splits each year, allowing ranked play to continue throughout the year.

With this new timeline, you’ll have more time to work towards your next rank and earn the rewards that come with it. Riot has already released an interesting Victorious skin for Anivia during the first split, and there’s expected to be another awesome Victorious skin for the second split by the time January rolls around.

Once the 2023 season concludes, League ranked players can look forward to a new world on Summoner’s Rift as the game undergoes significant changes.
