What does FF mean in League of Legends?
FF is simply a shortened version of the term “forfeit.” When someone types “ff” in the chat during a League game, it usually indicates their willingness to surrender. It signifies that either the game is not going well or that particular player is having a tough time. In fact, FF is also a command (/ff) that can be used to initiate a surrender vote in the game.
Players may also write “FF20” which refers to surrendering at the 20-minute mark. Previously, this was the minimum duration required to initiate a surrender vote, but now it has been reduced to 15 minutes.
Two methods are available for surrendering in League of Legends. The classic method requires 70 percent of the votes to be in favor of surrender to take effect. On the other hand, the early vote method requires a unanimous decision and can be initiated at the 10-minute mark. However, there are plans to potentially reduce the duration for an early surrender vote to 3 minutes and 30 seconds in the upcoming season.
