Vitality Unveils New LEC Roster with Selfmade, LIDER, and SLT

Team Vitality Makes Major Changes to Its League of Legends Roster

Prior to the start of the 2021 LEC Summer Split, Team Vitality has made significant changes to its competitive League of Legends team. The organization has revamped its roster by introducing a group of new players and coaching staff members.

Vitality’s top side has undergone a complete overhaul, as stated in the team’s official announcement. For the upcoming split, they have brought in SLT from former BIG Clan as the top laner, Selfmade from Fnatic as the star jungler, and LIDER from mousesports as the mid laner. These players will join Crownshot and Labrov with the goal of making an exciting run towards the summer championship.

New Coaching Staff and Departure of Head Coach Duke

The team has also made changes to its coaching staff, parting ways with head coach Hadrien “Duke” Forestier and replacing him with Mateusz “Tasz” Borkowski. Tasz previously served as the head coach of AGO Rogue and Vitality’s Academy roster before taking on this new role. He will be joined by former mousesports coach Andrei “Realistik” Ruse and current Vitality assistant coach Louis-Victor “Mephisto” Legendre.

Disappointing Spring Split and Hopes for Redemption

Last season was a forgettable one for Vitality, as they finished in last place during the 2021 LEC Spring Split. The team struggled to find success due to a lack of firepower and star power, managing to win only five games. Despite acquiring Crownshot midway through the spring, it was too late for them to salvage their playoff hopes.

However, with the addition of talented players and the reunion of Selfmade and Crownshot, who previously played together on SK Gaming and MAD Lions, Vitality is now equipped with a strong lineup. They will look to emulate the success they had back in 2018.

The 2021 LEC Summer Split begins on Friday, June 11, and fans can expect to see Team Vitality make their mark.
