Vitality signs Haru as their starting jungler for 2022 LEC Summer Split, with Bo as substitute

Team Vitality Makes Roster Changes After Disappointing Start to 2022 Season

Team Vitality is shaking things up for the summer season following a lackluster start to the 2022 League of Legends season. The organization has signed jungler Kang “Haru” Min-seung for its main roster, with 20-year-old Zhou “Bo” Yang-Bo joining as a prospect for the future, according to a report by Upcomer.

A Superteam that Fell Short

Vitality was expected to dominate the LEC championship during the 2022 Spring Split. With star players like Perkz, Alphari, and Carzzy on board, fans had high hopes for this experienced lineup. However, the team stumbled in the beginning and only made it to the second playoff round of the lower bracket.

Focusing on Improvements

The team is now making moves to improve their performance, starting with the jungle position. The roster change was made based on the request of the entire Vitality player roster and coaching staff, who had different ideas about the mid-to-late game strategy, according to the report. While Selfmade remains under contract, he will be on the bench for the foreseeable future.

Welcome, Haru and Bo

Haru, who previously played for British organization X7 Esports in the NLC, will be joining Vitality as the next jungler. He led his team to victory in the regional league and showed dominant performance in the NLC Spring Finals. However, his team was eliminated in the 2022 Spring European Masters quarterfinals by Team LDLC.

In addition, Bo, a former member of FunPlus Phoenix, will be signed and developed by Vitality this year with the goal of becoming a starting-level player in the 2023 season.

Bo’s past includes a four-month ban from competitive League of Legends in 2021 due to match-fixing during the 2020 LDL season. After being phased out of the main roster by veteran jungler Gao “Tian” Tian-Liang, joining Vitality would provide him with an opportunity to prove himself once again as a rising talent.
