Team Vitality Acquires New Mid-Jungler Duo for 2021 LEC Summer Split
According to sources familiar with the deals, Team Vitality has reached verbal agreements to buy out jungler Oskar “Selfmade” Boderek and mid laner Adam “LIDER” Ilyasov as its new starting mid-jungler duo for the 2021 LEC Summer Split.
Additional Coaching Staff and Roster Changes
Sources have also revealed that mousesports head coach Andrei “Realistik” Ruse will be joining Vitality’s coaching staff. Realistik will work alongside Mateusz “Tasz” Borkowski, who will be promoted from his position as head coach of Vitality Bee to the team’s main roster. These changes were previously reported by on April 20.
Selfmade and LIDER Transition to Team Vitality
Selfmade will be leaving Fnatic after a year and a half with the League of Legends team. He joined Fnatic after an impressive rookie year on SK Gaming in 2019 and has since established himself as one of the best junglers in the region. He will be transferred to Vitality before the end of his current contract in November, resulting in a buyout between the two organizations.
LIDER, who made his debut in the LEC in the 2019 Summer Split with Misfits Gaming, will now have another opportunity to compete in the league. After Misfits’ roster changes mid-split, LIDER joined the team and competed in 12 out of 18 regular season games.
Further Additions from Mousesports
In addition to LIDER, Vitality is also signing former mousesports head coach Realistik as its new assistant coach. Realistik will work alongside Tasz and Louis-Victor “Mephisto” Legendre, Vitality’s other assistant coach.
Expanding the Roster
Prior to these acquisitions, Vitality had already completed a deal with Berlin International Gaming for top laner Enzo “SLT” Gonzalez, as reported by on May 7. The team’s new players—SLT, Selfmade, and LIDER—will be joining AD carry Juš “Crownshot” Marušič and support Labros “Labrov” Papoutsakis in the upcoming season.
