Vitality Allegedly Enlisting Rookie Jungler Following Poor Start in LEC Summer Season

Vitality Reportedly Turns to Rookie Daglas to Boost LEC Summer Season Performance

According to reports from LEC Wooloo and Eros, Vitality is seeking to revitalize their performance in the 2023 LEC Summer Season by bringing in rookie Kacper “Daglas” Dagiel, the 17-year-old jungler from Vitality.Bee. This move would mean that Zhou “Bo” Yang-Bo will be benched.

This weekend, Daglas will make his debut for Vitality in the LEC, while still playing for Vitality.Bee in the LFL today. If Vitality’s LEC team qualifies for the playoffs, it remains uncertain who will take Daglas’ spot in the academy roster.

Daglas, who has been active in the ERL since January 2022, has no prior experience in the LEC, as stated by Leaguepedia. However, given Vitality’s struggling performance this split, it comes as no surprise that they are trying to shake things up with a fresh face.

Vitality Faces Uphill Battle in the LEC Summer Season

Vitality currently finds themselves at the bottom of the LEC standings with only one win. With just three best-of-one matches left to conclude the Summer Season, Vitality needs to secure some victories in the upcoming week against Excel, KOI, and Team BDS.

Daglas and Bo’s Performance Issues

So far this season, Daglas has underperformed for Vitality.Bee, with a kill participation rate of only 67.1% in the 2023 LFL Summer Split, making it the second-worst record among all junglers, according to Oracle’s Elixir. Bo, on the other hand, has also struggled, boasting the worst KDA ratio for junglers in the 2023 LEC Summer Season with a disappointing 1.1.

The 2023 LEC Summer Season will resume on Saturday, July 1.
