League of Legends Champions Set to Receive Visual Updates in Patch 10.18
Three champions in League of Legends, who have been around since 2011, are about to undergo visual updates in the upcoming Patch 10.18. These updates, according to visual effects lead artist Beardilocks, aim to enhance the overall gameplay clarity and bring the champions up to modern League standards.
Malzahar Visual Changes
Riot is focusing on the theme of Malzahar, making his abilities more connected to the Void. The abilities now have a clearer, modern purple hue, allowing players to feel like masters of the Void themselves. These changes should make Malzahar’s kit more visually understandable for opponents as well.
Nocturne Visual Changes
Nocturne appears much more menacing with this update. His passive ability now shows the radius that it covers, which is a quality-of-life improvement. Be prepared for more nightmares caused by solo queue Nocturne after these changes go live.
Viktor Visual Changes
Viktor’s entire kit has received amazing upgrades, bringing him closer to the glorious evolution. The E upgrade was especially needed to clarify its hitbox. These changes will be available for testing on the PBE in the next cycle.
Keep in mind that Patch 10.18 is scheduled to release on Wednesday, September 2, so the changes may not be finalized yet.
