Victory Five Suffers Defeat Against LGD Gaming, Experiencing a Winless Regular Season for the Second Time in Organization’s History

Victory Five Finishes 2021 LPL Summer Split without a Win

Victory Five suffered a defeat at the hands of LGD Gaming in a quick 0-2 series, ending the 2021 LPL Summer Split without a single win.

This is the second time in the history of the organization that they have finished winless. The first time was during the 2020 LPL Spring Split, which had a different roster. Despite making changes to both players and coaching staff, Victory Five was unable to avoid this situation and ended the season without a win once again.

The team joined the LPL in the 2019 Spring Split and had a mediocre start with their first two splits. However, they were able to secure four wins in the 2019 LPL Spring Split and five wins in the 2019 LPL Summer Split.

The 2020 competitive season proved to be challenging for Victory Five as they failed to win a single match in the Spring Split, making history in the LPL. They made a comeback during the summer by revamping the roster and finished fifth in the regular season. Although they qualified for the playoffs, they were quickly eliminated by Suning, who eventually reached the Worlds finals, in a 3-1 series.

In the 2021 Spring Split, Victory Five struggled once again after undergoing roster changes. They managed to secure only six wins during the regular split and failed to qualify for the playoffs. During the Summer Split, the team faced even greater challenges when their best players were acquired by other teams.

If history repeats itself, we can expect to see an improvement from the Victory Five squad in the 2022 Spring Split. The organization is likely to make roster changes once again in hopes of enhancing their performance in the LPL.
