Veteran LEC mid laner Nisqy finds new team for 2024

Veteran mid laner Nisqy joins SK Gaming for the 2024 LEC season

Veteran mid laner Yasin “Nisqy” Dinçer is set to make a fresh start in the LEC after a disappointing end to the 2023 League of Legends World Championship. According to esports reporter Brieuc Seeger, the 25-year-old will be joining SK Gaming as their new mid laner for the upcoming season. This will be Nisqy’s third team in the EMEA region since his return in 2021, but this time he will be playing for a lower-ranked team, after previously being part of top-tier squads like Fnatic and MAD Lions.

In his career, Nisqy has been recognized as one of the best mid laners in Europe. However, he has only won one LEC championship and one LCS championship since joining Splyce in late 2017. He has faced multiple disappointments in regional events and currently holds one of the worst records against major region teams at international events.

SK Gaming’s struggles and Nisqy’s leadership role

SK Gaming has been facing challenges in recent years and has consistently found itself near the bottom of the regular season standings in the LEC. Though the organization has brought in promising players like Crownie, Selfmade, Markoon, and Exakick, they have yet to establish themselves as strong contenders in the league.

If Nisqy joins SK Gaming, he will likely take on a leadership role as one of the most experienced players on the team. There will be less pressure on him to perform compared to his previous teams, which could give him and his teammates the opportunity to surprise the competition. However, they will need to develop a strong level of synergy to have a chance at reaching the postseason as a dark horse team.
