Vega Squadron Secure Spot in the MSI Playoffs

Vega Squadron Dominates Group B at MSI 2019

On the second day of MSI 2019, the CIS’ Vega Squadron dominated Group B, taking control of first place. Their main challengers, Detonation FocusMe, lost to them, granting Vega Squadron the opportunity to face off against Flash Wolves from LMS for a chance to reach the main event.

Vega Squadron’s first victims were Detonation FocusMe and CBLOL’s INTZ e-Sports. They continued their winning streak with a victory over MEGA. During the game, MEGA’s jungler ganked bot lane and secured a kill, but Vega Squadron quickly turned it around, building a gold lead. Despite being behind in kills, Vega Squadron’s tower and dragon advantage allowed them to secure another win.

Rematch Against INTZ e-Sports

In a rematch against INTZ e-Sports, Vega Squadron secured an early lead. Both teams traded objectives, but Vega Squadron went on the offensive and hunted down INTZ just as Baron spawned. With INTZ out of the picture, Vega Squadron claimed Baron and ended the game, setting up a climactic battle with Detonation FocusMe.

Vega Squadron Locks in Playoff Spot

In their match against Detonation FocusMe, Vega Squadron came out victorious. Despite Detonation FocusMe putting up a fight, they couldn’t overcome Vega Squadron’s early gold advantage. With a 10,000 gold deficit, Detonation FocusMe watched as Vega Squadron locked in their playoff spot.

MEGA Upsets Vega Squadron

MEGA managed to secure a win against Vega Squadron in the final game of regular play. Although the victory’s significance is uncertain, as it was a meaningless game for Vega Squadron, it secured MEGA a third-place finish. Both teams will go home with lessons learned and come back stronger next time.

The battle between Vega Squadron and Flash Wolves will take place tomorrow, following the match between Phong Vũ Buffalo and Team Liquid.
