Upcoming Visual and Sound Effects Enhancements for Mundo, Teemo, Anivia, Renekton, and Gragas

Riot Gives Veigar’s Ultimate a Visual Update

If you’ve recently used Veigar’s ultimate ability and thought it looked different, you’re not imagining it. Riot Games made some changes to Veigar’s visuals about two months ago, along with Jarvan, Lee Sin, and Vi.

Riot is currently working on updating the visual and audio effects of older champions. While it didn’t receive the same level of attention as the Ezreal update, it is still an important project. Riot announced that five more champions—Dr. Mundo, Anivia, Teemo, Gragas, and Renekton—will be receiving updates of their own.

So far, only Mundo’s new visuals have been showcased in a short video released by Riot. The updates are meant to enhance the appearance and sound of the abilities, rather than completely revamping the champions’ lore and gameplay mechanics.

The visual updates primarily focus on the champions’ base skins, with some exceptions for older skins. Newer skins, like El Macho Mundo, may not receive significant visual changes, although there could be improvements to the audio.

Riot aimed to give Mundo a more Zaunian feel, reflecting the region he is from in the game’s lore universe. This is evident in the new audio effects and bright greens of his updated visuals.

While an official launch date has not been announced, it is expected that these updates will be available within the next few months after being tested on the PBE (Public Beta Environment).
