Upcoming PBE Update: Enhancements for Kayle’s Quality of Life

Kayle’s Quality of Life Changes Revealed by Riot Games

Last week, Riot Games employee August Browning shared a list of upcoming quality of life changes for Kayle, the Righteous champion in League of Legends. These changes were announced on Twitter and give players an idea of what to expect in the near future.

Kayle’s recent rework has led to her being one of the most popular champions, with a 50-percent win rate. It’s not surprising that players are still exploring her new design and figuring out their preferred item builds. Currently, Guinsoo’s Rageblade and Blade of the Ruined King are the most prioritized items.

Kayle adjustments going to PBE: -SIGNIFICANT feel improvements to attacking with E and W. -W is a stronger reactive defense (instant MS = better dodging) -Default adaptive switching to AD is a buff to lane. -Compensating w/nerfs making lategame more item reliant (less AD+AS/lvl)

An updated list of recommended items will be available to reflect the new itemization for Kayle. Additionally, there will be improvements to her abilities W and E, focusing on casting times to ensure smoother gameplay and reactions.

Kayle’s Celestial Blessing (W) will retain its base movement speed percentage but will have a slight decrease in its ability power ratio. Players will no longer need to cancel the ability after one second, as Kayle will automatically attack after the 0.25-second casting time. The haste effect of W will now activate at the beginning of the cast instead of after the 0.25 second window.

In addition, Starfire Spellblade (E) will have its 0.25-second cast time fixed and will now scale with attack speed.

Furthermore, Kayle’s default adaptive damage will change from ability power to attack damage. To balance this change, there will be slight decreases in her base attack damage and ability power per level.
