Ultra Prime stuns Top Esports in Week 8 of the 2021 LPL Summer Split

Ultra Prime Upsets Top Esports in Epic LPL Summer Split Match

Ultra Prime (UP) pulled off a stunning victory today against the formidable Top Esports (TES) during the eighth week of the 2021 LPL Summer Split.

Expectations were high for TES to dominate this League of Legends matchup, considering their strong lead over UP in the LPL standings. TES started off strong with a crushing victory in the first 20 minutes, but UP fought back.

Despite facing a tough opponent, UP displayed unwavering confidence by taking risky plays, especially in the early stages of the game. They attempted daring dives and frequent ganks on TES’ botlane, although not always successfully. This allowed TES to dominate the first game but also gave UP a valuable advantage in the next two matchups.

UP’s decisive playstyle enabled them to counter TES’ big moves and stay competitive throughout the games. H4cker, UP’s jungler, played a pivotal role in their victory by finding numerous kill opportunities across the map. Support player ShiauC also contributed to the team’s success with precise hooks from his champion Thresh.

TES, on the other hand, excelled in the laning phase but struggled with mid-game rotations and late-game team fights. They made numerous mistakes in the last game, giving UP the opportunity to take the lead and secure the victory.

This defeat puts TES’ chances of qualifying for the LPL Summer Split Playoffs in jeopardy, as they are currently stuck in the middle of the standings. JD Gaming and LGD Gaming have the potential to overtake TES before the end of the regular Split, depending on their upcoming matches. TES will have the opportunity to improve their position in their upcoming matchup against Oh My God next Tuesday, Aug. 3, at 4am CT.

It remains to be seen whether UP can continue their success in the remaining series of the season or if this victory was just a temporary triumph. The answer will be revealed on Thursday, Aug. 2, when UP faces off against Bilibili Gaming at 4am CT, followed by their last matchup of the Split against ThunderTalk Gaming on Aug. 5.
