Tyler1 and imaqtpie to feature in a new web series with a WWE-style League of Legends showmatch

A new web series featuring WWE superstars and League of Legends personalities Michael “imaqtpie” Santana and Tyler “Tyler1” Steinkamp is set to launch on YouTube.

The announcement for the web series was made at an NXT event a few weeks ago.

John Brody, WWE Executive Vice President, Global Sales & Head of International, said in a press release, “This partnership with Riot Games gives WWE another global platform to reach our passionate fan base, many of whom are passionate gamers. The League of Legends web series on UpUpDownDown will be fun and engaging content for fans to consume our action-packed family-friendly entertainment through the world of esports.”

The web series will feature imaqtpie and Tyler1 facing off against each other, along with WWE superstars. It will document their training sessions leading up to a five-vs-five showdown at the end of the series.

WWE’s team includes imaqtpie as the coach and support, and WWE superstars Cesaro, Ruby Riott, Seth Rollins, and Tyler Breeze. Team NXT will be coached and supported by Tyler1, and includes NXT stars Johnny Gargano, Dakota Kai, Shayna Baszler, and Adam Cole.

In addition to the web series, more WWE League of Legends content will be featured on the UpUpDownDown YouTube channel, hosted by WWE superstar Xavier Woods.
