Two Champion Problems Arise Within Three Days for Riot at Worlds

Champion Issues at Worlds Cause Problems for Teams

Two issues with champions at the ongoing Worlds tournament have caused difficulties for teams. This is the third day of competition taking place at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, California.

Aurelion Sol’s Passive Stars Cause Trouble

Riot encountered an issue with the champion Aurelion Sol, which is one of their newer champions. The problem was with the champion’s passive ability, which consists of three stars that rotate around the champion. These stars are visible even when the champion is in a brush. However, Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg had a problem with not being able to see the passive stars at all, even when Aurelion Sol was out of the brush. He called for a pause, and although Riot attempted to fix the issue, Bjergsen could still only see one star when the game was restarted. As a result, Aurelion Sol was disabled for the rest of day two and day three. The plan is for Aurelion Sol to return on day four.

Nocturne’s False Information Disturbs G2 Esports

In the match between ROX Tigers and G2 Esports, Nocturne was picked by the ROX Tigers. However, the G2 players complained of hearing and seeing the sound and visual effect that occurs when Nocturne activates his ultimate, even though the champion had not done so. This caused significant confusion for G2. The game was paused briefly, and a solution was presumably found, as there were no further incidents. Nocturne was not disabled for subsequent games but has not been picked since the incident with G2.
