TSM’s Jungler Grig Suffers Wrist Injury

TSM Jungler Grig Diagnosed with Wrist Issues

TSM announced that their jungler, Jonathan “Grig” Armao, has been diagnosed with wrist issues. The team is actively working to address these problems and prioritize Grig’s long-term wrist health.

Grig’s Tweet Confirms Wrist Issues

In a tweet on January 2nd, Grig mentioned that he had been dealing with wrist issues since December, which prevented him from playing.

As a result of Grig’s injury, TSM has made changes to their team. Matthew “Akaadian” Higginbotham will now focus on the LCS team, while Gabriel “Fanatiik” Saucier, a former OpTic Academy jungler, will support TSM Academy in Akaadian’s place.

Grig is not the first TSM player to face a wrist injury. Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg, the team’s mid laner, has also dealt with wrist-related injuries in the past and wore a wrist guard for support.

Initially, Grig was expected to be TSM’s starting jungler for the 2019 LCS Spring Split. However, with the recent announcement, it remains uncertain if he will miss the first few games of the season, with Akaadian taking his place.

If Akaadian does start, TSM will enter the new season with only two players from their 2018 summer starting lineup: Bjergsen and AD carry Jesper “Zven” Svenningsen.

TSM’s first game of the 2019 LCS season is scheduled for January 26th against 100 Thieves, a rematch of last summer’s third-place playoff match.
