Jonathan “Grig” Armao, TSM’s jungler, is making his comeback in the team’s starting lineup for the 2019 LCS Summer Split. The organization announced that he will share the jungle role with Matthew “Akaadian” Higginbotham.

Additionally, TSM has acquired Mingyi “Spica” Lu as a jungler for its Academy team. Spica, who played for Echo Fox Academy since July 2018, will join TSM after completing his senior year in high school.

Grig was supposed to start for TSM at the beginning of the Spring Split, but he was sidelined due to a wrist injury. As a result, Akaadian took his place in the starting roster while Gabriel “Fanatiik” Saucier acted as a short-term Academy replacement.

The Spring Split was a rollercoaster season for TSM. They struggled in the first half, winning only two games in the initial three weeks. However, they found their stride in the second half and only lost one regular season game after week four.

Although TSM defeated Echo Fox and Cloud9 in the playoffs, they were ultimately reverse swept by Team Liquid in the Spring Split finals. With Grig back in the lineup, TSM aims to secure their seventh LCS championship this summer.
