TSM officially acquires Biofrost

TSM Finds Replacement for Yell0wStaR

After saying goodbye to support Bora “Yell0wStaR” Kim, Team SoloMid has found their new support player in Vincent “Biofrost” Wang.

Yell0wStaR left the team after losing to Counter Logic Gaming in the North American League Championship Series finals. He decided to return to Europe and join his former team, Fnatic.

Biofrost trialled with TSM when they were in Korea for bootcamp along with several other players. According to the TSM press release, Biofrost impressed Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng during trials in North America before the bootcamp.

Prior to joining TSM, Biofrost played for the North American Challenger squad Dream Team. Being picked up by TSM shows the potential of this up-and-coming player.

“I believe he was the best possible candidate for this position and given time, he will only become better,” said TSM owner Andy “Reginald” Dinh in the press release.

This pickup is the opposite of what TSM did last season, when they assembled a team of superstars who had never played together. Biofrost is a homegrown talent with room to grow.

TSM’s roster is now finalized for the Summer Split, pending Riot’s approval and confirmation that Biofrost can play for the team.

Biofrost’s debut on TSM will be against their long-time rivals CLG in the first game of the NA LCS Summer Split.
