TSM Makes Historic LCS Finals Return
After failing to qualify for the LCS playoff finals last year, TSM has made an incredible comeback in 2019. They defeated long-time rivals Cloud9 in a grueling five-game series to become the first team to qualify for the 2019 LCS Spring Split finals. This marks a significant achievement for TSM as they look to reclaim their former glory.
Smoothie’s Stellar Performance
TSM’s support player, Andy “Smoothie” Ta, played a crucial role in the team’s victories. Using champions like Alistar, Galio, and Braum, Smoothie initiated fights for his team and protected his teammates from enemy crowd control. In game five, his performance as Braum earned him the MVP title for the series. Smoothie’s success against his former team, Cloud9, added even more satisfaction to TSM’s victory.
Bjergsen Shines in his 100th Playoff Game
TSM’s mid laner, Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg, showcased his skills and leadership in his 100th playoff game. His extraordinary performance as Akali helped TSM secure their first win of the series. Despite his experience and multiple domestic titles, Bjergsen admitted to feeling nervous at times. However, he acknowledges the importance of making his teammates feel comfortable and ready to play.
Akaadian’s Redemption
Jungler Matthew “Akaadian” Higginbotham initially struggled in the first two games of the series against Cloud9. However, he made a remarkable comeback, outplaying C9 on multiple occasions as Rek’Sai and Kindred. Bjergsen praised Akaadian’s improvement throughout the series, highlighting his exceptional performance on Kindred.
With TSM’s victory, they eliminated Cloud9 from the playoffs and denied them the chance to advance further.
TSM now predicts that Team Liquid, a team known for their veteran players and ability to handle high-pressure situations, will emerge victorious in the semifinals against FlyQuest. TSM awaits the challenge of facing either Team Liquid or FlyQuest in the finals.
