TSM Emerges as the Leading Team After Week 2 of the NA LCS

Team SoloMid emerges as top team in NA LCS

During week two of the NA LCS Summer Split, Team SoloMid (TSM) solidified their position as the strongest team in the league. Tied with Immortals at 3-0, TSM defeated them in a close series, with a standout play by Vincent “Biofrost” Wang preventing Immortals from securing victory.

TSM’s victory over Immortals is noteworthy because last split, Immortals dominated the regular season with a 17-1 record but lost to TSM in the semifinals of the spring playoffs. With a perfect 4-0 record and two wins over Immortals, TSM currently holds the top spot in the NA LCS.

A key factor in TSM’s success is the outstanding performance of top laner Kevin “Hauntzer” Yarnell, who ranks third in the league for damage dealt per minute. Despite having a reputation for playing tank champions and supporting his carries, Hauntzer has showcased his ability to deal significant damage and contribute to TSM’s victories.

Team EnVy remains undefeated

Another standout team in the NA LCS is Team EnVy, a newcomer to the league. With a perfect 4-0 record, EnVy has yet to face a significant challenge. However, their focus on dragon control has been a key factor in their success, securing 16 dragons in week two matches. EnVy’s ADC Benjamin “LOD” deMunck has also performed exceptionally well, with a 10.1 KDA.

EnVy’s upcoming matches against Immortals and defending champions Counter Logic Gaming will be their first true tests in the league.

The rest of the teams

Cloud9 had a successful week, with a 2-0 record, demonstrating their ability to adapt after revamping their roster during the offseason. On the other hand, Counter Logic Gaming, despite maintaining their roster from the finals last split, has struggled to find their rhythm. They suffered a sweep by Cloud9 and have yet to find consistent success.

Team Liquid, who had a slow start last split and ended up finishing fourth, secured their first win of the split against Echo Fox. They currently hold a 1-3 record.

Teams breaking the meta

Week two saw teams finding success with unconventional champion picks. NRG eSports’ Gyu-min “Ohq” Oh performed exceptionally well with Twitch, while top laner Diego “Quas” Ruiz showcased the viability of Illaoi. Jeon “Ray” Ji-won also made waves with his full damage Jarvan IV. Michael “Bunny Fufuu” Kurylo impressed with his Thresh play in Cloud9’s victory against Counter Logic Gaming.

This week’s NA LCS matches showcased the growing dominance of Team SoloMid and the potential of Team EnVy. With more matches to come, fans are eagerly awaiting the outcome as these teams continue to compete for victory.
